In 2003, she was awarded the McGraw-Hill Australia Early Childhood Award.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Jess was employed by the Canadian International School Singapore and began work at Schoolhouse by the Bay. During her four years as a preschool teacher there, she took up the role of Creative Arts Specialist teacher. She designed her own Creative Drama and Visual Arts programmes for children aged 3-6. In 2009, Jess earned her Certificate of Educational Studies \u2013 Speech &amp; Drama awarded by College of Teachers, UK-with Distinction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was one of the exemplary students who showcased natural and extraordinary teaching skills. She was the best candidate amongst the graduates to be offered an immediate training position at GIG Education Centre, Singapore right after completing the course.\u201d \u2013 GIG Singapore<\/p>\n<p>Bringing her passion for the Creative Arts and love for the Reggio Approach back home to Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 2012 by establishing \u2018Forest of Stars: A Creative Space for Kids\u2019, Ms Jess was also part of the 2017 international study group at the world-renowned Loris Malaguzzi Centre in Italy, birthplace of the Reggio Emilia approach.
